Home Again

Juli was supposed to be studying her science. She wanted Selah in her room with her and when I went in to check how things were going, this is what I saw. Juli was reading to Selah. They were both intent on the book and I managed to catch a few shots.

Sunday, April 29

I'm not sure I took these Sunday... I did take some, but just have to show one of the entertainments of the weekend: watching fellow 365 bloggers get those photos! I think you will see the glass of wine below featured in Laura's blog! It may make it into a few others, too.

Tired Feet

Having no car today, Paula and I decided to walk down the beach about 3 miles to a diner at a pier for breakfast! We earned those omelettes! These are two tired (but happy) feet just before we got back to the beach house.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007

This morning just after I woke I walked out onto the balcony of my room and took this picture. I didn't quite make sunrise, but the sky still has hints of pink.

Paula and I took a long walk today.

Monday, April 23 - There!

I walked out on the balcony in the evening and looked up and saw pelicans flying overhead! I took a picture, but it's a bit fuzzy so won't post it. Here's the view of the Atlantic from the upstairs balcony.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Suitcase is almost ready to go and so am I! Looking forward to almost a week of relaxation and fun!

Saturday, April 21

Sometimes life requires getting your hands dirty. (And yes, I'm aware that this photo looks a little freaky, but I only took four today, all of my hand. Sigh. I will have to try some more.)

Gardenia

First gardenia this year! I cut this one and brought it in so that I could savor its scent.

Thursday, April 19

My dad was a visiting teacher in homeschool co-op today. He taught a class on military logistics/vehicles from WW II. The image on the board is a "duck" (a truck that floats and can move onto shore a short way).

Wednesday, April 18

Right now these flowers are waiting in pots for me to transplant to my garden. The top one is plumbago, the bottom one verbena.

For Tuesday, April 17...

This is the one picture I took that day. I snapped a picture from the road.

Lunch!

I was so excited to capture the crane with the fish in his mouth with my little point and shoot today. I also managed to get him flying, though almost didn't. Fun walk!

Weekend Away, Part 2

Our homeschool co-op spent the weekend relaxing together at a state park. We played and talked and spent time outside. I love the way the families all mingle, with a little one playing with an adult friend's hair, duck tape mask, high schoolers piled on a couch (there are six on that botttom couch!), and so much more I didn't put up here.

Weekend Away, Part 1

Do you see the alligator in this one?

After

You can't see the highlights, but they're there!

Thursday - More Hair!

Juli's turn.

We have a small Japanese maple in our backyard. The day was rainy but this afternoon the sun came out and lit the tree up.

Monday, April 9, 2007

These aren't the best pictures in the world, but I want to remember this. Juli asked to change Selah's diaper today and I went in the room after she'd started, to take a picture. In the first photo, Selah is trying out her vocal cords, quite loudly. Selah hasn't been here for a week and she's gotten a lot more active both physically and vocally during that time! Changing her was quite a challenge! Juli and I laughed a lot.

For My Sister, Paula

Here you are! I was going through some old pictures the other day and found this and thought I'd post it for you. A photo of a photo.

HE IS RISEN!!

He is risen indeed!

Saturday, April 7

The girls and I spent part of the day at B&N where we used our gift cards and took advantage of some special deals. Then we visited Whole Foods where we ate. I love their bread and cheese and brought some home.

Friday, April 6, 2007

I've had some time to read lately and I noticed my hands today. I take them for granted a lot. (Or complain because like the rest of my body they're showing my age or aren't well manicured or can't do everything I wish they could.) But today I'm simply thankful for them.

Thursday at co-op

Partners figuring out strategy in Rummy Roots. We'll be playing games in the middle school class to learn Greek and Latin root words.

Juli and I went shopping today for clothes, but we stopped by World Market just for fun. Here she is blowing on the sample of coffee...
While I walked around taking a few pictures.
