Gardenias! I miss them -- we used to have them when we lived in the city, but we get too cold here to grow them. Love their scent -- reminds me of my grandmother's garden; she had a whole row of gardenia plants along her walkway, and I remember just standing there and breathing in the spicy smell.
This flower is beautiful, and the whole picture is just lovely. I like the color of the bowl, the sight of the water inside it, the wooden surface... just a great combination of pieces that makes a wonderful picture.

I associate the smell with my grandmother. She had them everywhere on her property in GA.
