Tea 'n Scones

Jerry is working nights this weekend and our ds's girlfriend was visiting, so I wanted to do something special this afternoon after dh woke up and while K was here. So we had Irish tea in my Irish teapot and used my grandmother's china and my pewter creamer and sugar. We piled the scones high with clotted cream, strawberry jam, and lemon curd. It was yum!
This is not the best picture., but I want to remember this time. I am not a diligent photographer... at least not diligent enough to keep taking til I got the ideal photo. I wanted to eat the scones too much!

I wouldn't want to wait to eat those scones either. Looks like a lovely tea. How special that you have your grandmother's china.

I think it's a great picture. :)

This is a great memory-picture. What a special idea, and I love the yellow of the lemon curd. I'm touched by you doing something special with your son's girlfriend, too-- nice that you show care by doing something unique while she's there.

I am glad you recorded the event. It was cool that you thought of tea time as a way to do something special with the whole family.
