Ebony and Ivory

Our house was much quieter when our dd was away at college last year. She sings, she laughs, she plays guitar, she plays the piano. Iow, she adds a lot of life and happiness. So now that she's transferred to the local university and lives at home we treasure her sounds. She got some sheet music for Christmas. This particular one is by Pachobel... the song you hear at weddings. I love to hear her play it so I sneaked in a photo.

Lovely photo. Good composition. Jonathan's nice piano sits silently, taking up space in my little duplex. I miss the music!!

Wow...I took a picture of Nicole at the piano today and was going to put it up tommorrow. I was going to say almost the same thing as you; she plays guitar, piano, she sings, we miss the sound of her.:-)

The pics didn't turn out very well, so we may try her with the guitar tommorrow. Tommorrow is HER day. heeh

ALL THAT TO SAY I love your photo and understand the sentiment! I am glad you have her around this year.

Fabulous photo Becky! You got all the angles and just enough of the combination of her and the piano to give a realistic feel.

We have the same experience with Noah. Whenever he comes home, the first thing he does is head to the piano and then I realize that I have missed it.

Dirk is here, but rarely feels like playing anymore and I do miss it a lot!

This is a great shot!

I'm glad she's home. It always amazed me how te dynamics of the family changed every time even one member was missing. We miss Steph too! We miss you all. Wish you were closer.

Having music in the household is a wonderful thing -- and it's a blessing when anyone has the talent to do that.

That must be so nice to have the music back. Great shot, too.

Great composition, Becky! I love how it's just a little bit of everything that is important.

My 6yods plays our piano at least twice a day and I love to hear him in there. He'll play a few songs and say "Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week." :-) We had Pachebel's Canon played at our wedding and dh plays it on our piano every now and then.
