Day 42: February 10

King Cake for a birthday!
At homeschool co-op we celebrated a birthday with King Cake. King Cake is a tradition here in Louisiana after Christmas up through Mardi Gras.  Here the two children are being told to close their eyes so they won't see where the baby (Baby Jesus) is hidden.  The person who finds the baby in their piece is supposed to supply the next King Cake, but that doesn't always happen! (It's just fun to get him!)

Fun! We used to do this on Epiphany when the boys were younger.
