We made a quick trip to visit Jerry's mom in Mississippi to see her and Jerry's sister and family, who were visiting. While there we made a trip to some land the family calls " The Old Place." Andrew Jackson marched through this land on his way to the Battle of New Orleans.

It's so neat the house is still there! I have a picture of the house Robert's grandmother and great-aunt grew up in....it brings that era much closer than I usually think of it!
I love the history in this set of photos, Becky. Amazing that the house is still standing at all...
