Yes... you are seeing right! They're baby alligators. We were at friends' for church community group last night and were greeted outside by children toting baby alligators... their new "pets," 19 in all.
I'd love to see one and even hold it, but I just can't help wondering where your friends got 19 baby alligators and what they're going to do with them when the babies get bigger!
For those of you wondering what they'll do with the alligators when they get bigger... I wondered the same thing. My friend said they'll probably set them loose in the swamp, which is where they came from... I'm not clear on how they ended up in a house in the city, though.

My goodness! You win for the novel photos of the day! They are too cute. Keep making me think of Harry Potter dragons. :) Great photos btw.
Well, they are cute at that size. What will they do with them when outgrow being hand held?
